frequently asked questions

joia beach employs a dress code of upscale beach chic. we require that patrons wear proper attire. shoes and shirts are required. joia beach management reserves the right to refuse entry for guests. guests who do not follow the directions of joia beach management may be asked to leave the venue.

while we understand that guests visiting our beach club and chaise lounges may choose to wear beachwear attire, we require proper cover ups and attire to enter the venue. appropriate swimsuits are only permitted in the beach club shoreline area.

please be advised that we do not allow the following:
see through cover ups, offensive clothing, athletic apparel, hoodies, sweatpants, flip flops, slides, swim shorts, tank tops

entry is subject to availability and discretion.

no external food or beverages are allowed to be brought on to the property.
we do not allow professional photography on the beach or at the restaurant without prior approval. joia beach charges a location fee for photographers or brands who want to shoot on site.
no external decorations are allowed at joia beach without prior approval.
the only self-parking available is at jungle island’s main parking garage and the cost is $15.
automatic service charge of 20% will be added. 23% service charge will be added to groups of 11 or more
no tobacco, cigars or electronic cigarettes are allowed to be smoked under the palapa/inside the restaurant. smoking is allowed in the designated areas on the beach only.
children are more than welcome to join us during the day in the dining room, but joia beach is not a kid-friendly environment. 21+ only in the Joia Beach lounge.
in accordance with titles ii and iii of the ada, joia beach welcomes service dogs only. service dogs must be housebroken as well as harnessed, leashed, or tethered to their accompanying individual.

with the exception of service animals that meet the federal government’s guidelines for animals trained to perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a qualifying disability under the americans with disabilities act (ada), visitors are not permitted to bring animals on to joia beach property. visitors may not bring any other animals onto joia beach property, including but not limited to pets or emotional support animals.
we do not allow external alcohol to be brought on to the property.
yes, we are wheelchair accessible and have ada bathrooms on jungle island’s property right next door.
our valet is $20 and can be paid with cash or a credit card.
