Q&A with Luis Buron, the owner of House of Transformation
Tell us a little about House of Transformation and its philosophy?
House of Transformation is a training studio dedicated to simplifying the process of strength training and building habits for a more fit and healthy lifestyle.
What is your favorite workout and can you give us a little advise on how to stick to your wellness and fitness routine?
Our favorite workout is the one that’s been completed. While our primary focus is strength training which we feel yields the best results, as long as our clients are exercising at least three days a week, we’re happy. We preach simplicity and momentum, don’t make it any harder than it needs to be and you’ll be surprised at the kind of results you can achieve over time.
What do you think will be the next big workout or fitness trend?
New concepts come out each year and technology is playing a much larger role with every new innovation but at the end of the day, just like it takes a tribe to raise a child, same applies when it comes to living in your best shape. So while the tech space, for example Peloton, Climber, etc, has been trending with app based equipment, it will never replace the gyms where people are able to be part of a real community.
What’s your perfect Miami night?
Perfect night in Miami would have to be a dinner at Joia Beach, of course, watching the sun set and then… we like to party, so maybe a trip to Space afterwards lol.
Favorite quote to live by?
“Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.” – Arthur Ashe
Small studios, as opposed to larger gyms, are having a real moment. Why do you think that is?
Small studios are having a real movement because I think people are realizing exercise in general is not enough depending on how specific your goals are. Equipment and exercise programs alone are pretty useless without the right people holding you accountable and guiding you along the way and that’s usually what boutique studios do best, especially when compared to big box gyms.
